Corris Mine Explorers

MachynllethThis rare opportunity takes you into the old Braich Goch slate mine, in Mid Wales, which was first worked in 1836 and abandoned by the miners around 40 years ago. More than 130 years of history is captured inside waiting to be discovered. It is as if the mine has just closed.

Ynys- hir  wildlife reserve

Machynlleth Ynys-hir mixes Welsh oak woodland with wet grassland and saltmarshes. In the spring, the ground is carpeted in flowers, and birdsong fills the air. You might see flycatchers and redstarts emerging from the nestboxes.

Centre for Alternative Technology

MachynllethThe Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) (Welsh: Canolfan y Dechnoleg Amgen) is an eco-centre in Powys, mid-Wales, dedicated to demonstrating and teaching sustainable development. CAT, despite its name, no longer concentrates its efforts exclusively on alternative technology, but provides information on all aspects of sustainable living.

Canolfan Hamdden Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre

MachynllethA 20m leisure swimming pool and 30ft flume. There are a range of activities for all ages & abilities all of which can be found on the swimming pool timetable.

The pool is available for private hire and provides the ideal venue to celebrate a birthday or group party.

Moma Wales

 MachynllethThe Tabernacle was converted in the mid-1980s from a Wesleyan chapel into a centre for the performing arts. Since then MOMA WALES has grown up alongside it in four beautiful exhibition spaces.Throughout the year MOMA WALES shows Modern Welsh Art, featuring leading artists from Wales, works from the growing Tabernacle Collection, and in August selected entries from the Tabernacle Art Competition. Many of the works of art are for sale.
